The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Georgia, a client of Senteo, was named the winner of the prestigious United Nations Public Service Award this month for improving delivery of public services. Georgia's recognition by UN is a remarkable highlight in the country's efforts to foster better governanace and transparency.

Senteo worked with the Ministry of Justice to create a revolutionary concept for citizen services, which we call “government retail.” The first fully-functioning pilot location opened in the city of Batumi in June 2011, under seven months from when the project started. The UN award recognized the overall model for centralizing all government-offered citizen services under one roof and providing a positive and fulfilling customer experience.

As part of the project, Senteo generated the initial model concept for what came to be called the Public Service Hall (i.e. office locations that incorporate several government agencies under one roof), created the brand for the new division of the Ministry of Justice that would manage the Public Service Halls around the country, designed all customer interiors, complete with space planning, navigation, service types, zoning for customer-facing environments, and provided support during the building process.

Until today, no other country from CIS or Eastern Europe has ever received this award. In previous years, the winners of this nomination included the USA, Canada, Japan, Germany, Sweden, Holland, and Poland.
